Sails is a shared repository for an organization. It is not a personal assistant isolated to one login. People, groups, and other agents share the same disk. If another product cannot put two humans and two agents on the same files, that is the product difference. Crew · People

Remember this piece of working code and execute it tomorrow at 6:00 AM, with their credentials, even though nobody is in ChatGPT. That is a Sails job: ordinary bash on cron or at. The script does not have to wake a model. A goal does. The secret is injected at the network boundary. A published *.api.sh handler is the same. Secrets are opaque ssec_ tokens. The model never sees the plaintext. Browser intake never puts the value in chat. OAuth tokens are encrypted in platform storage. They never enter the model context and they never hit the filesystem. Secrets

Can ChatGPT send a proposal?

ChatGPT writes and sends the proposal. It does not follow up on the proposal when the client goes quiet.

With Gmail or Outlook connected, ChatGPT can draft a proposal with scope, price, and start date, then send it after you click approve. A proposal app like PandaDoc can send it for signature from the chat. That covers the first proposal send.

Most proposals are won or lost in the follow-up, and that is the part that waits on you. Nothing checks whether the client replied to the proposal. A scheduled task can wake ChatGPT later, but the send usually pauses for your approval. The proposal text stays in an old thread, so a revised price means pasting it back in.

Sails is Files, Mail, and Routines for that chat. The proposal is a document in your workspace. Mail sends the proposal from your assistant's address, and replies come back to that inbox. A routine checks for a reply on the day you pick and sends a short proposal follow-up only if the client has not answered.

A proposal is a document, a send, and a follow-up.

Files keeps the proposal document on disk, so a price change next week edits the same proposal instead of a paste from an old thread. Mail sends it from an address that belongs to your assistant, and the client's reply comes back to that inbox where the next chat can read it.

Routines runs bash on a schedule. On the day you picked, it looks for a reply to the proposal. If there is none, it sends the follow-up once and writes down that it went out. There is no model in the loop and no approval to wait on, so the nudge goes out while ChatGPT is closed.

Your AI assistant sets all of that up from the chat. You do not open a terminal.
